Brad Sizemore’s Bell County Bobcats finished regular season play on a high note, winning nine of their last 11 games, including Friday’s 82-59 win over Tennessee’s Apostolic Christian.
The Bobcats evened their record to 15-15 on the season after jumping out to a 31-11 lead while never looking back.
Bell County held leads of 53-29 at halftime, and 66-43 at the end of the third quarter before wrapping up the 23-point victory.
Dawson Woolum led the Bobcats in scoring once again, finishing with 24 points, and three 3-pointers. Ethan Buell added 16 points while Cameron Hall scored 14 points, and Jacob Jones finished with 10 points.
Bell County will be back in action Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. against Harlan in semifinal play of the 52nd District Tournament.
The Bobcats lost both games to the Green Dragons this season, 90-59, and 73-70.
