His team didn’t get the win, but Oneida Baptist coach Mitchell Madden is excited about the future of the Mountaineers.

Oneida Baptist hung tough with Buckhorn during its regular season finale before falling, 77-75.

“My team battled till the end,” he said. “The way we have finished the regular season shows how much we have improved and what the future holds at OBI. It’s going to be a fun off season.”

Canaan Tyree scored 26 points and finished with five rebounds while Daniel Etokwudo had 19 points, and eight rebounds. Jacob Rogers finished with 14 points while Skyler Roberts had 13 points.
