Yellow Jackets run record to 3-0 with 14-4 win over Pineville 

MIDDLESBORO — Home runs by Connor Mason, and Lane Bayless highlighted Middlesboro’s 14-4 win over Pineville on Thursday.

The Yellow Jackets (3-0) fell behind 4-0 in the top of the first inning before scoring 14 unanswered runs to get the win.

Bayless had a home run, four RBI, and two runs scored while Mason finished with three hits, a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored. Chase Adkins had two hits, two RBI, and one run scored while Case Bayless, Malachi Coots, Kameron Wilson, and Cayden Grigsby each drove in a run.

Case Bayless got the win, tossing five innings while scattering three hits, and allowing two earned runs. He struck out 11 batters.

The Mountain Lions’ Sam Caldwell, and Evan Biliter each finished with a hit, and an RBI apiece.
