North Laurel’s Reed Sheppard took home top honors of the Forcht Bank Presents the L4 Security 13th Region Media Network Media Awards Boys’ Player of the Year award while Harlan coach Derrick Akal was named Boys’ Coach of the Year, and Bell County’s Blake Burnett named Boys’ Newcomer of the Year.
The awards for Player, Coach, and Newcomer of the Year along with First Team All-Region plaques will be taken to the winner’s respective high school within the next three weeks.
