WEEK FOUR
1. Whitley County (17-2)
The Colonels have put together win streaks of eight, five, and four while playing a difficult schedule. This team is found to be hard to slow down once postseason play begins.
2. Corbin (12-5)
The Redhounds are have won seven out of their last eight games, and continue to be dangerous at the plate, and on the mound. In two weeks, they’ll be playing consecutive games against No. 1 Whitley County. Those games will be a must-watch.
3. Clay County (9-6)
Look out for the Tigers. They’re winners of four straight which includes wins over Jackson County (twice), Southwestern, and South Laurel.
4. South Laurel (10-9)
The Cardinals have played one heck of a slate, but have struggled as of late, going 1-5 while dropping two games to Whitley County, and a game to Clay County.
5. North Laurel (6-9)
The Jaguars just can’t seem to get any momentum going. They remain a dangerous team but need to begin putting together some wins heading into May.
6. Williamsburg (8-6)
The Yellow Jackets dropped two games to Corbin this past week, but did manage to end the losing skid with a win over Leslie County in 10 innings.
7. Knox Central (5-8)
The Panthers are looking like they’re beginning to heat up. A loss to North Laurel to begin the week led to two wins in a row to end the week.
8. Middlesboro (7-6)
The Yellow Jackets are winners of three straight, whichever includes a 10-4 win over Harlan.
9. Harlan County (7-6)
The Black Bears look to have gotten back on track after losing six games in a row. They currently posses a three-game win streak.
10. Barbourville (5-3)
The Tigers are winners of four of their last five games.
