MANCHESTER — Oneida Baptist has named its new coach for the boys’ varsity basketball team, and it’s a familiar face — Larry A. Gritton, Jr.
“The best thing for our young men is for me to coach again,” Gritton, Jr. said. “I had planned to do so last year but was not able due to some extenuating circumstances. We will compete well and maybe even surprise some folks next season and with our young guys the future is very bright. Our goal is to return our program to the level of success we experienced under Coach Larry A. Gritton, Sr. Lord willing, I will lead our program for the next 5 years. Go Mountaineers.”
