Crawford connects with 10th home run during Clay County’s 12-2 win over Bell County

MANCHESTER — Clay County closed out regular season play in fine fashion with a 12-2 win over Bell County.

Brandin Crawford continued to make his case for the L4 Security 13th Region Player of the Year award after turning in a 3-for-3 effort, which included his 10th home run, while driving in three runs, and scoring three times.

“Great way to send off the seniors in what could be the final game at Big Red Campbell Field,” Clay County coach Jason Smith said. 

Ryan Hastings dominated on the mound, allowing five hits, and one earned run while striking out nine batters. He also struck out nine batters.

Hayden Crockett had a hit, two RBI, and three runs scored while Ethan Jackson finished 2-for-3 with an RBI, and a run scored. Hastings also delivered a hit, and two RBI.
