THOMAS WALKER, VA. — Despite having to deal with injuries and sickness, the Pineville Lady Mountain Lions continue to play hard.
The Lady Mountain Lions fell to 1-2 on Tuesday, falling to Thomas Walker, Va., 3-0.
Pineville lost the first set 25-18, and the second set 25-17 before falling in the third set, 25-17.
“It was a fun game,” Pineville coach Samantha North said. “We didn’t end up in the win column but you wouldn’t have known it from watching their energy. We were short two of our starters to injury and sickness so we played some of our 8th graders who came up with some big minutes for us.
“Thomas Walker is always a great team and we knew they would challenge us to get ready for district play this week,” she added. “I love this team and can’t want to watch them keep climbing.”
