CORBIN — Corbin and Bell County met for the second time in three days, and in the end, the Lady Redhounds improved to 2-0 on the season against the Lady Bobcats, winning in four sets, 3-1.
It wasn’t the prettiest of matches, according to Corbin coach Vanessa Ross, as the Lady Redhounds improved to 5-1 while Bell County fell to 11-3.
“Tonight’s win was not pretty,” she said. “We had some younger girls step up for us tonight. Which was very exciting to see. Our serving game is terrible!! We have a lot that has to be fixed on our side of the floor. But a win is a win. Go Hounds.”
Corbin cruised to an easy 25-13 win in the first set before the Lady Bobcats rallied to win the second set, 25-22. The Lady Redhounds put the game away by ruining in the final two sets, 25-10, and 25-13.
Corbin will be back in action Tuesday on the road against 50th District for South Laurel.
