SOMERSET — South Laurel’s Chloe Mastin turned in a 10th place effort in a time of 21:25.79 that played a big role in the Lady Cardinals finishing fourth overall in Saturday’s Southern Harrier Classic.
North Laurel finished sixth with 132 points as Sienna Sizemore’s 24th place effort leading the way. She finished with a time of 23:01.54.
Clay County placed seventh with 168 points and was led by Andrea Smith’s 47th place effort (26:15.10) while Bell County finished eighth with 176 points. The Lady Bobcats were led by Kaelyn Lyrock, who placed 33rd (24:37.76).
Williamsburg and Lynn Camp also participated in the event but didn’t field enough runners to compete for the team championship.
Emaly Powers led the Lady Yellow Jackets with a 26th place effort (23:21.17) while Sadie Melton placed 37th for the Lady Wildcats (25:01.38).
