Lady Jaguars pull off four-set win over Jackson County

LONDON — North Laurel Laurel evened its record at 8-8 after defeating Jackson County in a four-set battle on Monday.

The Lady Jaguars were coming off a stretch that saw them play six games this past weekend.

It didn’t slow them down though, as North Laurel won 25-19, 16-25, 25-16, and 25-11.

“We came out a little jet lagged from this weekend after playing six games in two days,” North Laurel coach James Hendrix said. “We picked up the first set, but the second set was a struggle. We played better in the third and fourth set after making some slight adjustments to get around Abby Gilbert. She was a machine tonight and limited our hitters early in the game. Hats off to her, she played a great game. I’m pleased to get another district win and look forward to a rematch with Southwestern on Thursday.”
