BARBOURVILLE — Hannah Goins’ Corbin Lady Redhounds picked up a much-needed win on Tuesday, defeating Knox Central, 10-0, in only 38 minutes.
The Lady Redhounds snapped a six-game losing skid, and an eight game winless streak with the 10-goal victory.
Corbin’s last win came back on August 24 against Danville, so now the Lady Redhounds can see if they can continue the momentum they gained when they host Whitley County Thursday at 6 p.m.
Levy Sell scored the Lady Redhounds’ first goal just a minute into the match while Mary Simons, Emely Colchado, and Caroline Steely scored just six minutes into the match to give Corbin a 4-0 edge.
Katie Morton found the back of the net during the 11th minute while Colchado’s second goal pushed the Lady Redhounds’ lead to 6-0.
Taylor Martin, Camille Greer, Colchado (third goal), and Steely added goals during the final 20 minutes to secure the win.
