Williamsburg evens record at 13-13 with four-set win over Knox Central 

BARBOURVILLE — Williamsburg evened its record at 13-13 on the season after coming away with a four-set victory over Knox Central.

The Lady Yellow Jackets picked up a slim 25-22 win in the first set before battling to a 31-29 loss to the Lady Panthers in the second set.

Williamsburg gained a 2-1 edge in the third set with a 25-11 victory and locked up a 25-12 win in the fourth set. 

“It was great to come away with a win tonight,” Williamsburg coach Dirk Berta said. “Loved the effort, enthusiasm, and energy the girls played with. I love this group of girls and this team. Looking forward to next week. Go Jackets.”

The Lady Yellow Jackets will be back in action Monday at home against Jackson County. The two teams have battled three times this season with Williamsburg coming away with two wins.
