WILLIAMSBURG — North Laurel’s record stands at 12-12 after posting a 2-3 mark during this past weekend’s First Priority Lady Colonel Volleyball Classic.
The Lady Jaguars picked up wins over Shelby Valley (25-20, 22-25, 15-13), and Barbourville (25-13, 25-11) while dropping matches to Southwestern (25-14, 24-26, 11-15), Knott Central (25-20, 25-23), and Shelby Valley (25-22, 31-29).
“Coach Halcomb and his team always put on a fantastic tournament,” North Laurel coach James Hendrix said. “We appreciate their hospitality.
“The girls played really hard,” he added. “These tournaments are a blast, but they are both mentally and physically exhausting. We played tight games all day and managed to pull a couple wins out. We travel to Red Bird on Monday and then look forward to taking a shot at Whitley County on Tuesday.”
