Lady Yellow Jackets beats Jackson County for the third time, this time in three sets

WILLIAMSBURG — Williamsburg is beginning to hit stride at the right time, winning it second match in a row by rolling past Jackson County in straight sets, 25-22, 25-19, and 25-15.

Monday’s match marked the fourth time the two teams have played this season with the Lady Yellow Jackets (14-13) winning three times.

“Our girls played with great enthusiasm tonight,” Williamsburg coach Dirk Berta said. “We had some freshman step up and not flinch against a great team. I’m extremely proud of our entire team tonight. We are looking forward to the next couple of days at practice to work on some things we need to. Go Jackets.”

Williamsburg will be back in action Thursday on the road against South Laurel.
