LONDON — Corbin took care of business on Tuesday, and swept 50th District for South Laurel in three sets, winning, 26-24, 25-15, and 25-18.
The win improved the Lady Redhounds to 16-5 overall, and 4-1 in district seeding play.
Corbin has now won 14 consecutive matches against the Lady Cardinals, who fell to 11-18 overall, and 1-3 in district play.
“We came out tonight and struggled in that first set,” Corbin coach Vanessa Ross said. “I felt like we were asleep and couldn’t get woke up. We finally got it together in the second and third set. Another big district win for us. Now to focus on Thursday. Go Redhounds.”
Corbin will travel to play 50th District rival Whitley County on Thursday. The two teams have played twice this season with the Lady Redhounds winning both matches.
Corbin has dropped four straight matches to Whitley County.
