SOMERSET — South Laurel’s failure to finish during Thursday’s match against Somerset played a big role in the Lady Cardinals’ 6-2 setback to the Lady Briar Jumpers.
South Laurel (10-5) received two goals by Josie Gill, but couldn’t get on track against a Somerset squad that has now won three in a row and 12 out of its last 14 games.
“Tough loss at Somerset,” South Laurel ouch Lora Rison said. “We had trouble finishing, but despite the score our girls had some good plays.
We hate ending regular play with a loss, but know what needs to be adjusted going into tournament time.”
