SOMERSET — The South Laurel Lady Cardinals cross country team captured first place honors in the Somerset Invitational by finishing with 15 points.
The Lady Cardinals had the top three runners — Rose Stanko, Ivy Lewis, and Chloe Mastin in the race.
Stanko won top honors with a time of 21:40.46 while Ivy Lewis followed with a time of 21:56.12. Mastin placed third with a time of 22:04.89.
Williamsburg’s Emaly Powers finished in the top 10 with a time of 22:24.30 while Bell County’s Kaelyn Lyrick finished seventh (23:39.75). Williamsburg’s Emma Moore placed ninth (24:13.44) while Lynn Camp’s Isabelle Cruz placed 10th (24:27.91).
