Bell County notches another first-place effort, capturing top honors in Somerset Invitational

SOMERSET — Bell County’s boys’ cross country team placed first overall in the Somerset Invitational, finishing with 32 points while four runners finish in the top 10. 

South Laurel placed third with 81 points, and one runner finish in the top 10 while Lynn Camp totaled 94 points while having a run finish in the top 12.

South Laurel’s Kyler Witt placed second overall with a time of 17:36.66 while Bell County’s Nicholas Stewart (17:40.19), Braydin Hickey (17:49.69), Jacob Brannon (18:33.33), and Hayden Green (18:34.23) finished fifth, sixth, eighth, and 10th, respectively.

Tate Mills was Lynn Camp’s top runner, placing 12th with a time of 18:46.28 while Henry Bowling led Williamsburg with a 14th place effort with a time of 18:53.55.
