HARLAN — Harlan County’s Peyton Lunsford set a course record during her first place finish in the SEKC Championships.
Lunsford finished with a time of 20:13.66 while helping the Lady Black Bears to a first place finish.
Harlan County put on a dominating performance with runners finishing one though five.
Lauren Lewis (21:25.06), Gracie Roberts (21:31.15), Presley Hensley (22:36.12), and Kiera Roberts (22:5578) rounded out the top five in the meet.
Williamsburg turned in a second place effort with 51 points. The Lady Yellow Jackets had three runners finish in the top 10.
Emily Powers led Williamsburg with a seventh place effort (23:51.09) while Tatum Croley followed with an eighth place finish (24:29.22), and Ryan Fields had a 10th place finish (24:39.66).
Bell County placed third with 80 points as KElyn Lyrock finished ninth (24:31.75) while Harlan placed fourth with 87 points. The Lady Green Dragons were led by Harper Carmical’s 11th place effort (24:39.93).
