MONTICELLO — Jackson County turned in a second place effort during the Class A, Region 6 meet, finishing with 40 points while Isabelle Shearer won the region title in a time of 20:26.40.
Williamsburg finished third with 68 points as Emaly Powers placed second with a time of 22:37.87.
The Lady Generals placed four runners in the top 10, which included Shearer — Makynna King (fifth, 23:23.91), Stacy Rivera (ninth, 23:41.99), and Brooklyn Hammonds (19th, 23:45.19).
The Lady Yellow Jackets had three runners in the top 20, including Powers — Emma Moore (14th, 24:01.21), Tatum Croley (15th, 24:01.88), and Ryan Fields (19th, 24:36.50).
Lynn Camp placed three runners in the top 25 — Isabelle Cruz (17th, 24:14.45), Sadie Melton (20th, 14:45.58), and Lauren Partin (23rd, 26:06.58).
