South Laurel advances to state meet with third place finish while Lady Jaguars will send two runners to state meet

MONTICELLO — The South Laurel Lady Cardinals cross country team is moving on to the KHSAA Girls’ State meet after placing third overall with 101 points during the Class 3A, Region 7 meet. 

North Laurel turned in a fifth place effort, and will be sending two runners to the meet.

The Lady Cardinals had three runners finish in the top 20 with Chloe Mastin leading the way with a sixth place effort (22:02.76). Ivy Lewis placed 11th (22:33.64), and Rose Stanko finished 17th (23:18.71).

The Lady Jaguars’ Sienna Sizemore and Haiden Moses will be advancing to the state meet. Sizemore placed 10th (22:22.78) while Moses finished 14th (23:00.75).
