Steve Partin came up big for the Panthers, scoring five touchdowns while rushing for more than 270 yards unofficially during Knox Central’s eight-point win over the Tigers.

Harlan 28, Berea 22

Dylan Middleton and Darius Akal both had big games carrying the ball during the Green Dragons’ 28-22 win over Berea.

The win improved Harlan to 1-0 on the season.

Lynn Camp 20, Jellico, Tenn. 14

Mark Huddleston got his first win as the Wildcats’ coach while Lynn Camp snapped a 17-game losing skid and received its first win since 2019, defeating Jellico, Tenn., 20-14, on the road.

McCreary Central 47, Jackson County 0

The Raiders had an easy time with the Generals, cruising to a 47-0 victory on Friday.

Pineville 51, Phelps 0

The Allen Harris era started off with a blowout win as Pineville cruised to an easy 51-0 victory over Phelps.

Perry Central 21, Whitley County 8

The Colonels hung tough on the road, turning in an impressive defensive effort but couldn’t get things going, offensively, dropping a 21-8 decision to Perry Central.
