Both Bell County and Middlesboro will be playing for a regional championship next week.
The Bobcats defeated Belfry, 24-22, as Daniel Thomas passed the 3,000-yard rushing plateau on the season during the win.
Bell County (11-1) surprised the Pirates by jumping on them early while hanging on to the two-point victory. The Bobcats will host East Carter on Friday.
Middlesboro wasted little time dominating Paintsville. The Yellow Jackets (9-2) scored early and often, and cruised to an easy, 40-14, win.
Middlesboro will travel to play Pikeville on Friday.
