LOG MOUNTAIN — Bell County senior and Mr. Football candidate Daniel Thomas ran for 287 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Bobcats to the Class 3A, Region 3 championship with a 38-36 overtime win against East Carter.
Thomas is now the state’s all-time single season with 3,446 rushing yards, breaking Bath County’s Frank Jones’ record of 3,361 rushing yards set back in 1969.
