South Laurel junior Jordan Mabe turned a lot of heads in the 13th Region last season, establishing himself as the No. 2 ranked player heading into the 2023-24 campaign.
Mabe can hurt teams in many ways with his length and size. He’s a solid defender, but can score as well.
Mabe averaged a team-best 14.4 points per game last season while scoring 476 points. He hit 174-of-296 shot attempts (58.8 percent) while also knocking down 7-of-29 shot attempts (24.1 percent) from 3-point range.
Mabe also led South Laurel with a 6.8 rebounding per game average while totaling 225 rebounds on the season.
He helped guide South Laurel to a 24-9 record, a 50th District championship, and an appearance in the 13th Region Tournament’s semifinals.
