PINEVILLE — Nadine Johnson’s 31-point, 12-rebound effort played a big role in Pineville’s 71-41 win over Cumberland Gap, Tenn. on Thursday.
Johnson scored 13 points in the first quarter while adding seven more in the second quarter. She poured in 11 points during the game’s final 16 minutes. Rachel Howard scored 19 points for Pineville while Ava Arnett added 16 points in the win.
The Lady Mountain Lions (2-0) led 37-16 at halftime before outscoring Cumberland Gap, Tenn., 34-25, in the second half.
