Gavin Chadwell turns in 26-point, 17-rebound effort to lead Knox Central past OBI

Knox Central improved to 3-0, but not before going through a hardfought battle with Oneida Baptist.

The Panthers received a 26-point, 17-rebound effort from Gavin Chadwell while Braydon Mills added 20 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. Austin Bargo scored 19 points while Grayson Burton had seven points, four rebounds, and Trevor Jordan finished with six points, and three rebounds.

“Played a great transition game pushing the ball getting the game at fast pace knocking down 10-of-17 3s,” Knox Central coach Mitchell Madden said. “Hats off to coach Larry Gritton and OBI, they played a great game. I respect those guys so much, I knew they were going to come out battling. We got up several times double digits, and they battled back several times — no quit in them.”

Canaan Tyree led the Mountaineers (1-2) with 20 points while Skyler Roberts added 19 points, and Davis Obiora scored 12 points.
