Collins finishes with 30 points, 16 rebounds during Lady Panthers’ 60-58 win over Owsley County 

HINDMAN — Knox Central did its part of the deal, and now Saturday’s WYMT Mountain Classic Girls’ Tournament semifinals are all set, and they’re all 13th Region teams.

The Lady Panthers (3-0) joined Corbin, Jackson County, and North Laurel by slipping past Owsley County, 60-58, on Thursday.

Knox Central was led by Halle Collins’ 30-point, 16-rebound effort. She also had three steals, and two blocks.

Timberly Frederick added 12 points while hitting four 3-pointers, and McKenzie Hensley added nine points.

The Lady Panthers led 19-10 at the end of the first quarter, and 29-23, heading into the third quarter.

The Lady Owls outscored Knox Central, 19-8) in the third quarter to take a 42-37 advantage, but Collins scored 10 points while Frederick added six points to help the Lady Panthers rally and pick up the two-point victory.
