Offensive struggles continue for Lynn Camp; Lady Wildcats fall at home, 58-30

CORBIN — Another slow start led to another Lynn Camp Lady Wildcat loss on Friday.

Joshua Mobley’s squad fell to 1-5 after suffering a 58-30 loss to Bluegrass United.

Lynn Camp was limited to only eight field goals in the game while Sayde Mobley, and Julie Moore both led the Lady Wildcats in scoring with five points apiece.

“We fell behind out of the gate once again. They hit shots early and often,” Mobley said. “We had some early chances to score, but we didn’t capitalize on our early chances.

“We struggled with taking care of the ball throughout the whole game,” he added. “A lot of our struggles were due to inadequate spacing on the floor, and timing of our passes. We have to take care of the ball much better to have success.”

Despite his team’s shooting struggles, Mobley said his Lady Wildcats need to improve on some other things as well.

“We also have to continue to improve on boxing out and rebounding,” he admitted. “We have improved in this area so far this season, but have to continue to rebound well in order to have any success.

“Another area that we struggled in tremendously tonight was our defensive rotations throughout the game,” Mobley added. “We struggled to see both ball and man at the same time, and to be on the help line to assist each other on defense. We have a lot of things to work on right now, but for right now we will focus on a quick turnaround to face Thomas Walker tomorrow afternoon at home.”
