Barbourville advances in 13th Region All ‘A’ Tourney play with 58-31 win over Lynn Camp

The Barbourville Tigers punched their ticket into the quarterfinal round of the 13th Region All ‘A’ Classic Tournament by rolling past Lynn Camp with a 58-31 win during Saturday’s game.

The Tigers turned in a stellar defensive effort, holding the Wildcats to their lowest points total of the season.

Ethan Fisher led Barbourville (3-5) with 20 points while Riley Corey hit four 3-pointers, and finished with 12 points. Teammates Jaxon Collins, and Jasper Hubbs each scored nine points apiece.

“The better team won tonight,” Lynn Camp coach Tyler Wagner said. “I take blame for this one. I didn’t have our team playing hard enough and I didn’t have them mentally prepared for Barbourville.

“They came out and knocked us out in the first round and we never recovered,” he added. “Things have to change or it will be a long season.”

Tate Mills led Lynn Camp (2-4) with 10 points while Caleb Woods added nine points, and Zach Thorpe scored eight points.
