BARBOURVILLE — Jackson County punched its ticket into the quarterfinals of the 13th Region Girls’ All ‘A’ Classic Tournament with a 73-18 win over Red Bird on Thursday.
The Lady Generals(3-2) wasted little time jumping out to a 23-7 lead and never looked back.
Jackson County held a 44–12 advantage at halftime, and 66-18 edge entering the fourth quarter.
Lauryn Sizemore led the Lady Generals with 16 points. She scored 13 of those in the first quarter. Baylee Berry also scored 16 points while knocking down four 3-pointers. Abby Gilbert added 13 points while Maddie Curry hit four 3-pointers and finished with 12 points.
Bryleigh King led the Lady Cardinals (0-2) with eight points while Skyleigh Davidson finished with six points.
