CORBIN — The losing skid is over.
Lynn Camp put an end to its seven-game losing streak by putting together an impressive effort against Oneida Baptist on Friday.
The Lady Wildcats (2-7) out three players in double figures during their 55-32 rout of the Lady Mountaineers (1-4).
“Tonight we started out taking out too many perimeter shots,” Lynn Camp coach Joshua Mobley said. “We also turned the ball over too much tonight as we caused self inflicted turnovers on ourselves throughout the night.”
The Lady Wildcats held a 31-17 lead at halftime before outscoring Oneida Baptist, 24-15, in the second half.
“In the second half, we attacked the paint offensively much more aggressively, and it showed on the scoreboard as we were able to open up the deficit and come away with the win,” Mobley said. “We still have to continue each day to strive to strengthen our weaknesses, and at the same time not letting what we are strong at diminish. Now it’s time for a quick turnaround as we host Clay County tomorrow afternoon.”
Sayde Mobley led Lynn Camp with 15 points while Madison Weymers scored 12 points, and Julie Moore finished with 11 points.
