Lady Tigers hand Lynn Camp, 52-19, win

CORBIN — Clay County took advantage of 38 turnovers, and a 6-of-34 shooting effort from Lynn Camp, and cruised to a 52-19 win.

The Lady Wildcats (2-8) never got on track, struggling shooting the ball while making too many miscues. Twenty-eight of Lynn Camp’s turnovers were off steals.

“Today we didn’t take care of the ball well, and didn’t make sound decisions with the ball,” Lynn Camp coach Joshua Mosley said. “Our decision making, passing-wise, gave up way too many live turnovers which in turn created way too many easy opportunities at the rim for them.

“We still struggled a lot with our defensive rotations and lack of communication on the defensive end,” he added. “Taking care of the ball, and being strong with the ball are things we have to continue to work on. We also must continue to work on defensive communication and rotations to become much more sound.”

Sidney Jones led Clay County with 21 points while Anna Samples followed with 11 points, and Emma Jones finished with 10 points.

Cambree Prewitt and Julie Moore each scored six points apiece for Lynn Camp.

“Now we have a day or so to try to heal up, and get healthy,” Mobley said. “Then come Monday, we will start prepping for games up in Bell County for their Christmas tournament next week.”
