GATLINBURG, Tenn. — Another slow start led to another Williamsburg loss during Friday’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Classic.
The Lady Yellow Jackets fell behind 12-2, and never recovered during their 48-32 loss to Webster County.
Williamsburg was battling injuries and sickness throughout their its three-game stay in the Smoky Mountain Christmas Classic, but never folded and battled in all three games before posting an 0-3 mark.
Against Webster County, Melissa Douglas’ squad only had one field goal in the first quarter and trailed by 10 points.
Williamsburg faced a 28-15 deficit at halftime before getting outscored 20-17 during the game’s final 16 minutes.
Presley Spicer led the Lady Yellow Jackets with eight points while Hannah Creekmore, and Ellie Breeding scored five points apiece.
