ORLANDO, Fla. — Corbin suffered back-to-back losses for the first time this season, falling to Massachusetts’ Foxborough High School, 70-67.
Despite the loss, there is no reason for the Lady Redhounds to hang their heads.
The two teams they’ve lost to in consecutive days are no pushovers, and on the positive side, the experience will allow Corbin to improve as the season progresses.
“Proud of the way our team fought today,” Corbin coach Isaac Wilson said. “We had every reason to not come out and compete today, but our kids chose the right path, and showed up and competed. I’m proud of them for that.
“We will learn from this experience for not only this season, but for the rest of our lives we can take away things from our time on this trip. Because of that we will be better for it down the road. It’s time to get back home and prepare for some important games for us to begin the new year.”
The Lady Redhounds were without the services of Kallie Housley, as Bailey Stewart and Kylie Clem scored 18 points apiece. Darcie Anderson finished with 14 points while Addy Wilson added seven points.
