WILLIAMSBURG — Williamsburg’s Allie Wilson collected her 1,000th career point, and 500th career rebound during the Lady Yellow Jackets’ 70-18 win over Cordia on Saturday.
The 52-point victory snapped Williamsburg’s seven game losing skid as the Lady Yellow Jackets improved to 2-7.
Wilson finished with 21 points while Hannah Creekmore added 14 points in the win.
“Great night of basketball and a wonderful way to end the year,” Williamsburg coach Melissa Douglas said. “We started off in the first minutes celebrating our senior Allie Wilson with her 1000th point and 500th rebound. Awesome milestones for an outstanding young lady.
“From the beginning, we played some team ball,” she added. “We had eight of our 11 players to score tonight. Hannah Creekmore finished with double figures. Lorelei (Coleman), Lylah (Mattingly), and Ellie (Breeding) were close to doubles as well and still setting their individual game highs. Emaly Powers and Presley Spicer played great as well coming off the bench.”
