BARBOURVILLE — The Barbourville Lady Tigers punched their ticket into the 13th Region All ‘A’ Classic Tournament championship game by rallying to defeat Williamsburg, 47-43.
The Lady Tigers fought back 12-7 deficit in the second quarter to pull off the slim win.
Barbourville (9-6) outscored the Lady Yellow Jackets, 17-9, in the second quarter to claim a 24-21 advantage at halftime.
The Lady Tigers’ held a 39-37 edge entering the fourth quarter before outscoring Williamsburg, 8-6, in the final eight minutes of action.
Sarah Smith led Barbourville with 18 points while going 8-of-9 from the free-throw line. Layla Brock added 13 points while Jacey Boles finished with five points.
Hannah Creekmore scored 19 points for the Lady Yellow Jackets (3-9) while Lorelei Coleman finished with seven points.
