Knox Central (12-5) might have taken a loss, but coach Mitchell Madden’s squad continues to show growth and improvement during their 66-63 loss to Perry Central.
The Panthers received a 25-point, five-rebound effort from Grayson Burton while Gavin Chadwell scored 16 points and pulled down 15 rebounds. Nathan Dunn tallied 10 points and 10 rebounds.
“Great game for us, very physical grind it out game,” Madden said. “We were up one after the first quarter, down four at half, and then we got down nine in the fourth quarter, but came back to take a one-point lead but couldn’t hold on. Perry is well-coached very good team. This game will help us tremendously down the road. I love the heart my kids have-never give up attitude.”
