CORBIN — Eleven players scored for the Corbin Redhounds during Friday’s 82-46 win over Jackson County.
Tony Pietrowski’s squad used a 26-3 run in the first quarter and never looked back during their third win in a row.
“Great approach to the game by our squad,” Pietrowski said. “Thought we played with tremendous effort and shared the ball well offensively. It was nice to work on our depth. Our bench played well and hopefully something we can build off as we progress through the season. Tough test tomorrow as we play one of the better teams out of the 11th Region.”
Corbin (9-4) entered the second quarter with a 13-point lead while taking a 54-17 advantage into the locker room at halftime.
The Generals (6-8) outscored the Redhounds, 29-28, in the second half but the damage was already done.
Corbin will be back in action Saturday, participating in South Laurel High School’s Raymond Reed Classic.
The Redhounds will face-off against Steve Wright’s Madison Southern Eagles at 5:30 p.m.
Against Jackson County, Corbin with seven 3-pointers in the win. Noah Cima led the Redhounds with 15 points while Trey Worley scored 14 points. Conner Blackburn finished with 12 points while Conner Middleton hit three 3-pointers and finished with 11 points.
Keagan Ward led the Generals with 17 points while Ashton Clemmons had 10 points.
