CORBIN — Lynn Camp held its own against Knox Central before losing a hardfought battle, 55-48.
The seven point win allowed Knox Central (15-6 overall, 3-0 against 51st District competition) Wrapup the 51st District’s top seed.
The loss dropped the Wildcats to 5-12 overall, and 1-2 in district action.
Lynn Camp only trailed 19-18 at halftime while nine points by Gavin Chadwell in the third quarter allowed Knox Central to hold a 38-30 advantage entering the fourth quarter.
Grayson Burton added seven points for the Panthers in the final eight minutes as Knox Central managed to hold on and pull off the seven-point victory.
Chadwell led the Panthers with 25 points while Burton added 14 points. Tate Mills led Lynn Camp with 18 points while Caleb Woods added 13 points.
