Yellow Jackets reach .500 plateau with 75-52 win over Cumberland Christian Home Educators

WILLIAMSBURG — Anthony Hibbard’s Williamsburg Yellow Jackets got back to their winning ways on Friday, handing Cumberland Christian Home Educators a 75-52 loss.

“Feels good to get back in the win column,” Hibbard said. “Tonight was very beneficial for us, especially considering our past three games. We were able to work on different facets of our game and play several guys. We have ways to go, but we like the direction we are heading. We have to stay focused on the task ahead and trust each other.”

Andrew Smith led Williamsburg with 24 points while Henry Bowling scored 18 points.

The win improved the Yellow Jackets to 11-11 on the season.

“We still have a lot of basketball to play,” Hibbard said. “We have two tough district matchups coming up next week. We have to take it day by day.”
