WILLIAMSBURG — Coach Melissa Douglas’ Williamsburg Lady Yellow Jackets are close to getting over the hump, and it showed during Thursday’s contest against Berea.
The Lady Yellow Jackets (4-15) held their own throughout against the Lady Pirates before falling, 54-44.
“Tough loss but we are closing margins with our turnovers and rebounding,” Douglas said. “Presley Spicer had a great game attacking the boards and scoring. Our team adjusted well with some defensive changes. Berea shot well tonight, they had four players score in double digits. We will just keep working hard growing as a team.”
Allie Wilson led Williamsburg with 16 points while Presley Spicer added 13 points.
