Eleven players score during South Laurel’s 67-10 win over Williamsburg 

LONDON — South Laurel continued its dominance against Williamsburg, running its win streak to 24 games against the Lady Yellow Jackets.

Eleven players scored during Friday’s 50th District matchup as the Lady Cardinals cruised to an easy, 67-10, win.

Led by Shelbie Mills’ 19-point scoring effort, the South Laurel built a 25-4 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.

South Laurel’s lead grew to 46-6 at halftime, and 58-10 entering the fourth quarter.

“Well a good game to get everyone some late season minutes,” South Laurel coach Chris Souder said. “We again got off to a good start. It also gives us a 5-1 district record. We won’t have much time to rest we have a very, very good Pikeville coming in to play tomorrow afternoon.”

Emma Adams added nine points for the Lady Cardinals while Maci Messer finished with eight points, and Kenna Andes finished with six points.

Aubrey Bundy and Shelby Smith finished with five points apiece.

Allie Wilson led Williamsburg with six points while Hannah Creekmore scored four points.

The win improved the Lady Cardinals to 17-9 overall and 5-1 vs. 50th District competition. The Lady Yellow Jackets fall to 4-16 and 0-6 against district competition.
