Wildcats get back on track with, 61-30, win over Cordia

MIDDLESBORO — After taking blame for not having his Lynn Camp Wildcats ready to play during their loss to Owsley County earlier in the week, Tyler Wagner made sure it wouldn’t happen again.

His Wildcats improved to 7-14 while turning in a dominating effort during their 61-30 win over Cordia on Saturday.

“Today was good for us to be able to come in and take care of business early,” Wagner said. “Today was good for us, we moved the ball well and it was a complete team effort. Now we got to get ready for next week. We start off Monday with Whitley County then Tuesday at home with Corbin, so we need to get focused and ready to go.”

Lynn Camp took charge of the game early, building a 15-8 lead in the first quarter behind seven points from Ethan Burd.

Ian Agosto scored five points in the second quarter while Burd chipped in four more points to push the Wildcats’ lead to 35-14 at halftime.

Burd added 11 points in the third quarter while Devin Helton, Max Carnes, and Mason Moore added two points apiece in the fourth quarter, allowing Lynn Camp to pull out the 31-point victory.
