Lady Jaguars’ four-game win streak snapped with 48-32 loss to Ryle

UNION — Saturday wasn’t a good day for Eddie Mahan’s North Laurel Lady Jaguars.

Not only did they see their four-game win streak get put to an end after falling to Ryle, 48-32, the 32 points is the lowest point total they’ve had this season.

“It was a very physical game and we didn’t adjust very well,” Mahan said. “Chloe McKnight did a terrific job with how they were allowed to guard her.

“While the physicality was an issue, it was the inconsistent effort that hurt us the most,” he added. “When playing against teams like Ryle on the road any amount of inconsistent play will get you beat.”

North Laurel (18-5) never got on track offensively, scoring only six points in the first quarter while trailing, 25-17, at halftime.

The Lady Jaguars were limited to only six field goals and 15 points in the second half.

Chloe McKnight led North Laurel with 18 points while Haley Combs finished with seven points.
