Bell County edges Lady Dragons, 58-49

LOG MOUNTAIN — Bell County improved to 5-1 in 52nd District play after upending Harlan at home on Monday, 58-49.

The win improved the Lady Bobcats to 16-9 while Harlan fell to 14-11 and 3-3 in district play.

“I thought our energy was very good to start the game, especially on the defensive end,” Bell County coach David Teague said. “I felt like for the majority of the game we played extremely well.  I thought our bigs inside (Kairi Lamb, Kylee Greer-Gann and Addison Lucas) did a great job of doubling and rebounding the ball. It’s good to get a district win.”

Lauren McGeorge led Bell County with 22 points while Gracie Jo Wilder finished with 19 points.

Aymanni Wynn led Harlan with 20 points while Kylie Noe added 19 points.
