BARBOURVILLE — Knox Central senior Gavin Chadwell put on a show during the Panthers’ 68-58 win over Harlan on Tuesday.
Chadwell scored a game-high 40 points while pulling down 20 rebounds in the win. He also had six blocks.
Brayden Mills added 17 points as Knox Central improved to 17-8.
“Great win for us against a really good Harlan team,” Knox Central coach Mitchell Madden said. “It was 16-16 after the first, we got up 16 and they cut it to six. They are a really good shooting team can put up a lot points quick. We knew our advantage was Chadwell so we overloaded one side they were attacking Burton all night we kept feeding Chadwell he took over the game inside on both ends. We showed great discipline tonight getting the ball where it had to go for the win.”
