Lady Wildcats drop fifth game in a row, lose to Richmond Model, 58-35

RICHMOND — Lynn Camp had a week to work on somethings before facing off against Richmond Model, but once again, struggling making shots and miscues defensively played a role in the Lady Wildcats’ fifth loss in a row.

Lynn Camp (3-21) never got on track against the Lady Patriots, losing, 58-35.

“Tonight, we didn’t play defense very well which showed up throughout the game quite a few times,” Lynn Camp coach Josh Mobley said. “These mental lapses caused us to give up a lot of very easy baskets at the rim. We had plenty of opportunities to stay in this game, and make a come back for the win. We couldn’t make many of the open shots from outside and we were very cold from the perimeter.

“We also didn’t push pace well offensively or defensively in order to get better looks at the rim,” he added. “We didn’t turn the ball over a lot tonight, we just didn’t make any shots. It’s time to get back at it tomorrow at practice and prepare for our upcoming contests on the road on Thursday and Friday.”

Madison Weymers led the Lady Wildcats with 13 points while Lauren Partin scored nine points.
