Williamsburg moves to 14-13 with 60-52 victory over Lynn Camp

WILLIAMSBURG — With only a week remaining in regular season play, Williamsburg moved over the .500 mark on Thursday by outlasting Lynn Camp with a 60-52 win.

The Yellow Jackets were led by Henry Bowling’s 20-point scoring effort while Andrew Smith added 18 points while recording his 500th career rebound, and Cooper Prewitt finished with 10 points.

“A really good team win for us tonight,” Williamsburg coach Anthony Hibbard said. “We had a lot of guys contribute and help us get the win. Just incredibly proud of our guys. Coach (Tyler) Wagner is doing a great job with his crew. They came in and played really hard and made some big shots tonight.

“I do not think anyone thought we would be in this position right now at 14-13,” he added. “That’s a testament to our guys and their work ethic. We are still trying to figure this thing out, but we are making strides in the right direction. Extremely proud of our team.”

The loss dropped Lynn Camp to 7-17 as Caleb Woods led the Wildcats with 17 points. Tate Mills scored 11 points while Ethan Burd added nine points.
